The mission for our Children’s Ministry is to nurture young hearts and minds, guiding them on a journey of faith, love, and discovery. Through engaging and age-appropriate activities and crafts, we aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can grow spirituality, build meaningful relationships, and develop a lifelong relationship with God. Our mission is to empower the next generation to become compassionate, resilient, and faithful individuals who will positively impact their families, communities, and the world.

Children’s Pastor
At Friends Church we believe our kids are incredibly important to the Kingdom of God. Sunday morning is not just a daycare, but rather a place for kids to connect with their friends and grow closer to Jesus. Each morning starts with time to play before hearing a Bible lesson. We also like to worship together (which often involves moving and dancing), completing an activity, and playing on the playground.
Our classes cover every age group!
- Nursery class - infant through 23 months
- Preschool class - 2 years through tk/k
- Elementary class - 1st through 3rd graders
- Elementary class - 4th through 5th graders
If this is your First Visit
Here's what to expect when visiting Friends Kids for the first time: First, follow the signs to our kids classes. (You have to walk through our main service to get to the kid classrooms.) There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
Parent/guardian name(s)
Child's name
Child's birthdate
Home address
Phone number
Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
Serving:
Why we serve in Children’s Ministry at Friends?
1. Humble yourself like a child. "And said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3-4 ESV
2. Welcome children in Jesus's name. 'Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me," Matthew 18:5 ESV
3. Protect them. "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6 ESV
4. Value children as a kingdom priority. Jesus sees it differently. Little ones are valuable to him. They must not be despised, because their angels see the face of the Father. The Savior doesn't want one child to perish (Matt. 18:10, 12-14).
For Jesus, valuing kids as a kingdom priority is essential. "Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'" Matthew 20:28 ESV
