Today we begin our new message series, "Enemies of the Heart." High cholesterol, triglycerides, and hypertension—all well-known foes wreaking havoc in the human heart. But as devastating as these can be, there are four other enemies of the heart that can’t be measured in a doctor’s office. Big pharmaceutical has nothing to touch them and they wreak havoc on young and old alike. They’re the four primary enemies of the heart—four life-blocking agents that become lodged in the heart, poisoning our relationships, our faith, and our character. These corrosive forces gain strength from the darkness. Left to their own, they grow in power and influence, like a lab experiment gone terribly wrong.

But as we’ll discover, these forces lose their power when exposed to light.

Join us for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on June 1st at Citrus Heights Friends Church! Bring a friend or two to learn more about the ministry in Spain and take part in a silent and dessert auction. We're praying it helps connect us to more people who have a passion for global ministry. We can't wait to share more with you all at this event.

Our Fireworks Booth is just around the corner. We are adding days for the booth to be open and will need lots of volunteers. Serving in the booth will be dramatically easier this year with a new point of sale system. We are looking forward to rallying together to support sending our Teens to Summer Camp. Our fundraiser has been a great tool to help us do ministry and support many different projects.

After worship on the second, third and fourth Sundays of the month, teens are invited to join the youth upstairs in the youth room for a special study. On the other weeks teens will stay in with the whole church. Let's get excited! Friends Youth is on the move!
